SITUATION
Revive is a new physical therapy studio opening in a small Northwest Kansas town. Founded by an experienced PT setting out on her own, Revive exists to give patients more than a treatment plan — it builds a foundation of hope and optimism for their long-term quality of life. We partnered with the founder to translate that mission into a complete visual identity, from logo and palette through to her storefront and launch.
THE CHALLENGE
Independent physical therapy clinics tend to look the same: clinical blues, generic stock photography, and language that focuses on injury rather than the person living with it. Revive needed to break out of that category — to feel warm, professional, and human in a market accustomed to sterile alternatives.
I also had a practical constraint. Revive’s building sits on a visible corner in town, with four large symmetrical windows facing the street. The signage had to do double duty: introduce the brand to people who had never heard of it, and quietly convey what kind of practice this was — even from a passing car.
THE APPROACH
I anchored the brand on two ideas the founder kept returning to: roots and motion. Roots speak to foundation — the steady, careful work of rebuilding the body. Motion speaks to the goal — getting people back to the lives they want. Every design decision was tested against that pairing.
Brand pillars
- Roots + Growth — a foundation that supports lasting recovery
- Foundation + Motion — strength balanced with the freedom to move
- Fresh, clean, natural — disarming where competitors are clinical
Identity System
The mark is a sunrise built from ten leaf-like forms arranged in a circle — each shape a step in the healing journey, each curve suggesting gentle motion. Together they read as a rising sun: renewal, warmth, and the gradual, organic process of restoration.
Typography pairs a modern Grotesk — solid but never heavy — with a contemporary serif for moments that ask for elegance. The palette is warm and earthy: terracotta sunrise, grounded olive, soft sand, deep ink. Calming, but never sleepy.

THE SOLUTION
A storefront that tells a story
I turned the four-window facade into a sequential narrative — the client journey, told left to right across the building. Each window represents a stage of recovery, moving from aspiration to transformation. Visual complexity reduces from window to window, mirroring the clarity people gain as they progress through care.

The four-window progression: I want to → I can → I will → I am.
The bold opening statements (“I want to…”, “I can…”) are legible from across the street. As people approach the building, the smaller, more personal lines come into focus — “play with my grandchildren,” “dance at my daughter’s wedding,” “garden again.” Two reading distances, two levels of engagement, one continuous story.
Launch campaign
To open the studio, I produced a set of vertical motion pieces for social rollout — kinetic typography paired with the sunrise mark, sized for Instagram and TikTok. The spots reinforce the same arc the windows tell, compressed into a thirty-second beat: from pain, through process, to revival.
Launch creative — vertical motion graphics for social.
THE RESULT
Revive opened with a brand that feels distinctly unlike its category. The storefront now functions as the practice’s most visible piece of marketing — a four-panel story that invites the town in before a single word is spoken. The founder has a flexible identity system she can take into print, digital, and in-clinic touchpoints, and a launch package that gave the studio a confident, on-brand voice from day one.
More than the deliverables, the project gave Revive what every new practice needs: a clear, confident position in its market — and a visual language that lives up to the promise behind the name.
